Job summary

Genuine Parts Company seeks a Senior Site Engineer to serve as the primary on-site engineering resource at NAPA distribution center facilities. You will support automation performance, systems optimization, and facility infrastructure strategy, while guiding maintenance teams and driving long-term asset performance.

The role focuses on reliability, data-driven optimization, and capital project execution, ensuring system stability and scalable infrastructure across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field required; 3+ years of progressive engineering experience optional.
• Experience owning operational processes and driving improvements using lean, six sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, automation, and controls systems; familiarity with WCS/WMS/Control Tower preferred.
• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens or equivalent).
• Experience managing projects through planning to activation and leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as site’s lead engineering authority for optimal operation of automation systems.
• Own performance oversight of machine-level controls, WCS, WMS, and control tower solutions.
• Develop and oversee PM programs; ensure OEM alignment and safety compliance.
• Lead KPI tracking (MTBF, MTTR, OEE) and data-driven continuous improvement.
• Manage capital projects from scoping to commissioning and stabilization.
