Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Department Operations Leader to drive day-to-day activities in a retail store in Williamston, MI. You will train associates, maintain staffing, and ensure standards and KPIs are met while managing inventory and product quality.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED).
• 0-2 years of retail experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day activities of department operations in a retail store.
• Order and maintain inventory, and ensure product freshness and quality.
• Manage a team to complete stocking, production, and related tasks.
• Know ad items, special prices, coupon deals, and rewards programs.
• Support scheduling, labor control, and payroll expense for the department.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked department and follow safety and food safety guidelines.
