Carolina Outreach in North Carolina is seeking a full-time Peer Support Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. You will provide essential expertise to promote client-centered treatment plans, support symptom stability, and foster independence within the community.

Responsibilities include coordinating services with the ACT team, advocating for access to resources, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with ACT standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a CPSS in North Carolina.
• Personal experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery.
• Strong communication and advocacy skills.
• Commitment to ACT model and person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the ACT team to monitor clients’ status and responses to treatment.
• Advocate for clients to access needed resources and opportunities in the community.
• Maintain accurate treatment notes and input into person-centered plans.
• Ensure adherence to ACT standards and participate in supervision where applicable.
