ncgCARE in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time Peer Support Specialist to join its Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. You will support clients toward symptom stability and independence, collaborating with the ACT team to tailor services to individual needs.

The role emphasizes client advocacy, accurate documentation, and adherence to the ACT model, with on-call availability 24/7/365. Must be a CPSS in North Carolina, with personal lived experience in mental health recovery and strong

Qualifications

Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) in North Carolina.
Personal experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery is required, with the ability to share lived experiences as part of client support.
Strong communication and advocacy skills.
Commitment to upholding the principles of the ACT model and person-centered care.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the ACT team leader to monitor clients’ clinical status and responses to treatment.
Assist in identifying, planning, scheduling, and implementing services tailored to each client’s needs.
Act as an advocate for clients in the community, supporting their access to necessary resources and opportunities.
Maintain accurate records and input into person-centered plans.
Ensure adherence to the ACT model and standards.
Provide consultation to the ACT team to promote a person-centered approach to care.
Be available to respond to clients and co-workers 24/7/365 on-call.
