Job summary

Carolina Outreach is seeking a full-time Peer Support Specialist to join our ACT team in North Carolina. You will provide essential expertise to promote client-centered care, help achieve symptom stability, and support independence within communities.

You will collaborate with the ACT team to monitor progress, advocate for clients, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with TMACT standards. 24/7 on-call availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) in North Carolina.
• Personal experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery is required, with the ability to share lived experiences as part of client support.
• Strong communication and advocacy skills.
• Commitment to upholding the principles of the ACT model and person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with care teams as needed
• Maintain compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards
• Participate in supervision (if applicable based on licensure level)
