Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking an enthusiastic Acro Dance Instructor to teach dancers of varying ages and skill levels at the UMLY School of Dance in Berwyn, PA. You will lead safe, engaging classes that blend dance technique with acrobatic skills such as flexibility, strength and balance.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year teaching experience and hold required certifications, with the ability to develop and teach skills and use technology for program needs.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1-year prior teaching or instructional experience.
• Training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area.
• Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills.
• Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs.
• Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and leads specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
• Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
• Organizes and maintains program records including, but not limited to attendance records, rosters, etc
• Manages all equipment.
• Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
• Communicates effectively and timely with program participants and parents.
• Ensures all children are picked up by a parent.
• Promotes other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person.
• Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

The UMLY School of Dance is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Acro Dance Instructor to teach dancers of varying ages and skill levels.
