Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Position Summary:

Select Exterminating is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our AR department. This position plays a critical role in managing the billing and collections processes for a diverse, multi-state customer base that includes residential, commercial, and municipal clients. The AR Supervisor will support departmental goals, mentor junior staff, and help drive process improvements. This role reports directly to the AR Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily AR operations, including invoicing, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution
• Manage a $5M+ AR portfolio across NY, CT, PA, NJ, MA, and RI
• Work directly with customers to resolve payment issues, apply credits, and ensure timely collection of receivables
• Review contracts and service orders to ensure accurate and timely billing
• Analyze AR aging reports, DSO trends, and bad debt risk, and present findings to leadership
• Facilitate electronic payments through platforms such as Paymode, AvidXchange, and other customer-specific portals
• Mentor and coach junior AR staff; ensure adherence to best practices in collections and account handling
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to reduce billing errors and improve customer experience
• Maintain accurate documentation in PestPac and CRM systems; ensure audit-ready AR records
• Recommend process improvements to optimize billing and collections performance
• Assist with month-end close processes, AR reconciliations, and audit preparation

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or collections, preferably in a high-volume, service-based business
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or lead AR role
• Strong understanding of billing, collections, and cash application processes
• Experience with commercial, residential, and municipal accounts
• Proficient in electronic payment portals (e.g., AvidXchange, Paymode, Bill.com)
• Advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables) and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; customer service mindset
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage sensitive customer interactions with professionalism
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
