J&H Family Stores in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. This is an in-office role focused on timely collections, accurate invoicing, and maintaining records.

You will work with sales and customer service to resolve billing issues, monitor aging reports, and support month-end closings. Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and MS Office is preferred, with attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable, billing, or finance roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred in finance or accounting.
• Office environment with frequent interruptions.

Responsabilités

• Manage and process incoming payments from clients and customers.
• Make collection calls as needed.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue invoices.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare and send out invoices, statements, and payment reminders.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and payments in accounting software.
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to receivables.
• Support audit processes by providing relevant documentation and reports.
