Job summary

R2D2 Support Services in Lemont, IL is seeking a dependable Accounts Receivable Clerk / Accounting Assistant to join our team. This hands-on role handles customer payments, reconciliations, reporting, and other accounting tasks with training provided.

You will work closely with the office team to ensure accuracy, balance accounts, and support month-end processes. Strong Excel skills and QuickBooks experience are strongly preferred, with opportunities to grow in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Previous accounts receivable or bookkeeping experience preferred.
• QuickBooks experience strongly preferred.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required (beyond basic data entry).
• Ability to research discrepancies and balance accounts.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile daily customer payments and deposits.
• Reconcile credit card and ACH transactions.
• Review customer accounts and research payment discrepancies.
• Handle refunds, credits, adjustments, disputes, and chargebacks.
• Maintain payment and reconciliation reports and assist month-end closes.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Provide front-office support and assist with other accounting tasks as needed.
