Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage customer credit and payments, maintain accurate financial records, and support customers with account needs. This role emphasizes problem-solving, data accuracy, and teamwork with internal departments.

The position focuses on applying knowledge of collections, credit activities, and ERP systems while contributing to process improvements in a professional Fargo, ND office.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit, or Collections
• High accuracy data entry and attention to detail
• Proficient with accounting software and ERP systems (Eclipse and BillTrust preferred)
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Experience resolving payment discrepancies and researching account issues
• Knowledge of collections, bankruptcy, liens, judgments, and related credit activities is preferred
• Associate degree or higher in Accounting/Finance or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of customer credit applications with complete documentation
• Process and post customer payments including cash, checks, and card transactions
• Set up and maintain customer accounts with accurate information
• Reconcile AR balances and investigate discrepancies
• Monitor customer account activity and payment status
• Communicate with customers on inquiries and payment issues
• Support collections activities through follow-up and resolution
• Maintain accurate customer records and supporting documentation for compliance
• Research and resolve billing disputes and account discrepancies promptly
• Assist with credit management projects and process improvements
• Protect confidential customer and financial information at all times
