Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group in Old Bridge, NJ, is partnering with a growing organization to hire an Accounts Receivable Specialist on a contract-to-hire basis. You will join a collaborative accounting team and manage the full AR cycle, including invoicing, cash application, collections, and reconciliations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience) and 2–4 years in AR, with strong Excel skills and ERP familiarity.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or relevant experience).
2–4 years of accounts receivable or related accounting experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP/accounting systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage the full accounts receivable cycle including invoicing, cash application, and collections.
Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with clients to ensure timely payments.
Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Prepare aging reports and provide regular updates to management.
Assist with month-end close activities related to AR.
Maintain accurate records of transactions and customer communications.
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, sales, and operations teams.
