Job summary

LHH is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the accounting team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role focuses on AR, cash application, collections, and reconciliation in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage day-to-day AR activities, apply payments, monitor balances, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate billing and timely cash flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable, collections, billing or related accounting roles.
• Strong understanding of AR processes, payment application and reconciliation.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts receivable activities and maintain accurate customer account records.
• Process and apply customer payments accurately and timely.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short payments, and account issues.
• Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end AR activities.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate documentation of collection efforts and account activity.
• Partner with accounting, customer service, and other internal departments to resolve billing issues.
• Assist with AR reporting and other accounting responsibilities as needed.
