Job summary

Automation Solutions LP in Houston seeks an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to support the accounting team. You will manage invoicing, time sheets, and billable costs, leveraging Salesforce/QuickBooks and ensuring accurate records across customers and contracts.

This role reports to the accounting supervisor and CFO and offers a full benefits package. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years in accounting with 1–2 years in invoicing, proficiency in Excel, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 2-3 years’ experience in accounting or related field.
• 1-2 years’ experience in invoicing and/or accounts receivable.
• 1-2 years’ experience using financial software (QuickBooks preferred).
• Proficient in Excel.
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.
• Experience invoicing in software/engineering industry is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Initiative driven with openness to training and learning.
• Problem-solving and solution oriented.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain customer accounts in the CRM and accounting systems.
• Process sales orders and customer POs.
• Process time sheets and calculate billable time.
• Purchase, manage, and invoice billable costs and third-party products.
• Review billable expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Generate and process customer invoices for products and services.
• Monitor customer contact information, tax status, and invoicing details.
• Submit invoices according to customer requirements.
• Track lump-sum projects, travel expenses, and time & materials.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of billing documentation.
• Communicate billing and renewal inquiries with customers as needed.
• Perform weekly A/R calls.
• Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to streamline billing.
