The Reliance is seeking an AR Clerk to handle accounts receivable activities, including daily billing, invoice generation, cash application, and adjustments. The role ensures accurate cash reconciliation and supports month-end close while maintaining thorough documentation.

The position collaborates with sales and other departments to resolve customer discrepancies, adhering to internal controls and company policies. Strong detail orientation and teamwork are essential.

Formación

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit and collections within a commercial environment, including cash application.
• Experience researching customer account activity and processing accounts receivable adjustments preferred.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and handle supporting documentation in an organized manner.

Responsabilidades

• Perform daily billing and customer cash application activities
• Prepare and process customer invoices and maintain organized supporting documentation and filing systems
• Reconcile daily cash deposits, including lockbox, mail, and walk-in receipts
• Communicate with the sales department to resolve customer account issues, including short payments, invoice disputes, claims, delinquent accounts, and returned payments
• Prepare and process accounts receivable adjustments, including researching the underlying transactions and maintaining appropriate supporting documentation
• Support internal and external audits by retrieving invoices, payment records, customer account activity, reconciliations, and other requested documentation
• Assist with audit-related information requests and ensure supporting documentation is complete, accurate, and provided timelyGenerate and distribute month-end A/R statements
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Identify and communicate account discrepancies or unusual items requiring additional review
• All other duties and responsibilities assigned by management
