Control Southern, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team in a primarily office-based role with hybrid work options.

You will maintain customer accounts, drive collections, and support a superior customer experience while working with our portal integrator for invoice delivery. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in AR, a BS degree or equivalent experience, and strong Excel/Outlook skills.

We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate customer accounts, driving successful collections, and supporting an exceptional customer experience.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the Finance Team by keeping receivables current and customers satisfied. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities could include:

• Ensuring accurate setup of new customer accounts
• Assisting in establishing customer credit limits
• Managing the collection and maintenance of assigned accounts
• Posting customer payments and maintaining detailed collection notes in our financial system
• Collaborating with internal teams and customers to resolve invoice disputes
• Preparing and distributing customer invoices and statements
• Assisting with monthly reporting, including Over-90 reviews
• Revising and reissuing invoices as needed
• Working with customer portals and our portal integrator to ensure fast, accurate invoice delivery

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be successful in this role if you bring:

• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable
• A Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) preferred but not required, or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and comfort with database programs (IFS, Monto, and Outlook a plus)
• Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
• A high level of customer focus and professionalism
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Additional Details

This role is primarily office‑based and sedentary, with occasional filing requiring bending or light lifting. The Finance team currently works in the office Monday-Wednesday and from home Thursday/Friday. * This work-from-home arrangement is subject to change based on business needs and is not guaranteed.
