Job summary

Action Truck Parts is seeking a Part-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist to help keep cash flow moving while engaging with customers and internal teams. You will apply payments, resolve discrepancies, and support billing and collection processes with accuracy and professionalism.

This role offers on-site work in Rockdale, IL, about 25–30 hours per week, with a pay range of $20.00–$25.00 per hour based on experience. Training opportunities available as you transition into the role.

Qualifications

• Previous accounts receivable, collections, bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
• Comfortable communicating with customers by phone and email.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

Part-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist

Action Truck Parts is looking for a Part-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist who enjoys working with both numbers and people while helping keep cash flow moving. Accounts receivable is more than processing payments. It's about helping customers, supporting the business, and ensuring the financial details behind every order are handled accurately and professionally. In this role, you'll work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve account questions, apply payments, research discrepancies, and conduct collection calls.

Excellent Training Opportunity: If hired before year end, you'll have the opportunity to work side-by-side with the experienced AR employee you're replacing, who will be retiring. This provides valuable hands-on training and a smooth transition into the role.

What You'll Do

• Apply customer payments and maintain accurate account records
• Monitor customer aging and proactively contact customers regarding past-due balances
