Job summary

Action Truck Parts is seeking a Part-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist to help keep cash flow moving while assisting customers and internal teams. You and the retiring AR employee will ensure accurate accounting and a smooth transition.

The role offers approximately 25–30 hours weekly, on-site in Rockdale, IL, with a pay range of $20.00–$25.00 hourly based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Previous accounts receivable, collections, bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable communicating with customers by phone and email.
• Ability to research discrepancies and resolve problems independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Apply customer payments and maintain accurate account records.
• Monitor customer aging and contact customers regarding past-due balances.
• Investigate and resolve billing questions and payment discrepancies.
• Assist with reviewing credit applications and evaluating new customer accounts.

Part-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist

Action Truck Parts is looking for a Part-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist who enjoys working with both numbers and people while helping keep cash flow moving. Accounts receivable is more than processing payments. It’s about helping customers, supporting the business, and ensuring the financial details behind every order are handled accurately and professionally. In this role, you’ll work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve account questions, apply payments, research discrepancies, and conduct collection calls.

Excellent Training Opportunity: If hired before year end, you'll have the opportunity to work side-by-side with the experienced AR employee you're replacing, who will be retiring. This provides valuable hands-on training and a smooth transition into the role.

What You'll Do

• Apply customer payments and maintain accurate account records
• Monitor customer aging and proactively contact customers regarding past-due balances
• Investigate and resolve billing questions and payment discrepancies
