Job summary

Action Truck Parts is looking for a Part-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist who enjoys working with both numbers and people while helping keep cash flow moving. In this role, you’ll work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve account questions, apply payments, research discrepancies, and conduct collection calls.

You’ll gain excellent training side-by-side with the experienced AR employee you’re replacing, who will be retiring. The position is on-site in Rockdale, IL, with approx.

Qualifications

• Previous accounts receivable, collections, bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable communicating with customers by phone and email.
• Ability to research discrepancies and resolve problems independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Professional, dependable, and able to take ownership of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Apply customer payments and maintain accurate account records
• Monitor customer aging and proactively contact customers regarding past-due balances
• Investigate and resolve billing questions and payment discrepancies
• Assist with reviewing credit applications and evaluating new customer accounts
• Assist with other accounting functions and special projects as needed
