Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus, including at a network of Eskenazi Health Center sites throughout Indianapolis.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist may be responsible for maintaining the life of a claim, which includes tasks such as Initiate Billing, Charge Entry, Claim Edit, DNB, Stop Bills, Claim Rejection, Denial, Follow-up, No Response, Variance, Correspondence, and Credit Balance Resolution. The specialist communicates with insurance carriers via telephone, email, fax, and payor websites to ensure compliant payments. They review reports to identify trends, resolve front-end errors, and follow up on unpaid or improperly paid claims.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping; ability to identify denial trends and collaborate with management to resolve errors; willingness to assist team members; excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and efficiently; proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office equipment; strong math and organizational skills; comprehensive understanding of health insurance policies, billing requirements, and government programs; ability to meet departmental productivity and accuracy standards.
