Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services in Bakersfield, CA is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a busy team on a temp-to-hire basis. The role offers a stable, growth-oriented track and hands-on AR responsibilities.

You will manage full-cycle AR, contact customers on past-due balances, apply cash receipts, and generate Excel-based reports, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and pay of $22–$25 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience.
• Strong customer service and customer relations experience.
• Excellent phone etiquette required.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable functions.
• Contact customers regarding past-due invoices and outstanding balances.
• Apply cash receipts and update customer accounts.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and customer inquiries.
• Process credit memos, debit memos, adjustments, and chargebacks.
• Review unapplied funds, overpayments, and account reconciliations.
• Communicate with customers regarding account status and collections.
• Prepare spreadsheets and reports using Excel.
• Work with banks regarding lockbox deposits.
