Job summary

Johnson Electric in Plymouth, Michigan is seeking an Accounts Receivable Intern to support the AR department in North America. You will investigate unpaid invoices, follow up with customers, reconcile accounts, and assist with data collection for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.

This internship offers an innovative environment with hands-on experience in Oracle and Salesforce, and opportunities to develop accounting skills. Local candidates preferred; relocation is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or currently pursuing a degree with expected graduation within the next year.
• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• Microsoft Excel proficiency for consolidating data from multiple systems and performing variance analysis
• Experience using Oracle and Salesforce software (preferred)
• Organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Investigate invoices not paid and follow up with external and internal customers
• Track and report regarding samples
• Reconcile customer accounts
• Assemble data to support management reports (monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Maintain documentation for compliance reporting and audits
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Collaborate with Sales, Quality, Customer Service, Engineering, and headquarters in Hong Kong
