Job summary

Bluegrass Community & Technical College is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist (Financials Specialist III) to manage college receivables, billing, and collections on-site at the Leestown Campus. You will coordinate with the Manager of Accounts Receivable and Bursar to ensure timely payments and accurate reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in business-related fields and several years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, and collections, with strong customer service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Four (4) years of experience or equivalent (minimum).
• Six (6) years of experience or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date billing system; track, review, and collect accounts.
• Monitor payment deadlines and ensure timely posting.
• Notify outstanding accounts and organize recovery efforts.
• Post balances and manage holds, charges, and write-offs as required.
• Serve as liaison for inquiries about holds, charges, bankruptcies, and write-offs.
• Collaborate with Bursar and Managers to ensure accurate receivable reporting.
