Job summary

OEC Group is a global freight forwarder established in 1981, providing freight transportation, logistics, and information services to over 50,000 customers through a network of offices. As an Accounts Receivable Coordinator, you will communicate with delinquent customers and work toward resolutions for billing disputes within the Accounting Department, collaborating with Sales.

The role will grow into more data analyst responsibilities, including data processes and reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in an accounting role, preferably AR or collections.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and Power BI.
• Experience using CargoWise One ERP preferred.
• Proven ability to handle a large amount of delinquent accounts.

Responsibilities

• Review shipping/billing documentation in a paperless environment via Microsoft Excel and CargoWise One.
• Collect and analyze data to create reports on aging, risk, and related metrics.
• Resolve billing/payment disputes using a process-based approach.
• Manage 200+ past-due accounts daily; record transactions to the general ledger.

As an Accounts Receivable Coordinator, you will communicatewith delinquent customers and work toward resolutions for any billing disputes. You will work within the larger Accounting Department and collaborate closely with our Sales Department. This position will increasingly take on more data analyst responsibilities, including data processes and reporting, as the position matures.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1yearexperience in an accounting role; preferably handling accounts receivable or collections.
• Advanced proficiency with data analysis tools such as Microsoft ExcelandPower BI are highly preferred.
• Previous experience using the ERP system, CargoWise One, is preferred.
• Proven record of handling a large amount of delinquent accounts.
• Ability to set and manage expectations of customers and upper management.
• Customer service focused mindsetfor dealing with difficult/upsetcustomers.
• ASSERTIVE! - able to secure payments and deal with delinquent customers.

Responsibilities:

• Review shipping/billing documentation in a paperless environment via MicrosoftExcel and FMS/CargoWise One.
• Collect and analyze relevant data to create reports such as highlighting high risk accounts, accounts receivable aging percentiles, and more.
• Take a process-based approach to resolve billing/payment disputes.
• Manageas many as 200+past due accounts daily.
• Record business transactions, charges, refunds, and key daily worksheets togeneral ledger.
• Review accounts receivable aging and reconcile accounts.
• Review weekly reports and address any issues as needed.
• Work closely with our Sales Department to resolve customer disputes.

Salary:

• $22-$28/hour dependent on transferable experienceand education level.
