Alsco Uniforms is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support the Office Manager in handling charge accounts per company policy. The role requires clear communication to resolve AR issues and ensure timely collections across customer accounts.

Key duties include processing payments, monitoring aging, and providing regular updates to management. A strong team player with Excel and data entry skills will thrive in this environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Office, esp. Excel for aging/past-due analyses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, especially on the phone.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team, with good organization and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and persistence in collections efforts.
• Be proficient in data entry and general business procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process customer payments according to company policy.
• Monitor accounts for non-payment, skipped invoices, and partial payments.
• Provide regular status updates to management on collections.
• Organize recovery systems and initiate collection efforts.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly closing statements and reports.
• Contact customers via phone, email, mail, or in person to arrange payment on delinquent accounts.
• Perform reference checks on credit applications and report findings to management.
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries promptly.
• Submit accounts for bad debt write-off.
• Send invoices to customers via fax or email for payment.
• Perform other tasks as required.
