Job Summary

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? We're looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team and play a key role in managing customer accounts, processing payments, and ensuring accurate financial records. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their follow-through, and enjoys collaborating across departments to solve problems.

In this role, you’ll handle daily transactions, account reconciliations, and collections communications, all while supporting an internet-based sales environment. If you have 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, strong computer skills, and a customer-focused approach, we’d love to hear from you. Responsibilities

• Post and apply customer payments, credit notes, and refunds accurately, including manual entries and credit card transactions.
• Review and reconcile customer accounts to ensure balances are accurate and up to date.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, order corrections, and account issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Analyze past due accounts and execute appropriate collection efforts through written and verbal communication.
• Prepare and send customer statements and handle all related accounts receivable correspondence.
• Process and approve refund checks and write-offs of uncollectible accounts in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain organized records of customer tax exemption certificates and verify documentation for compliance.
• Support internet-based sales transactions by troubleshooting payment or account-related issues.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently, ensuring accuracy, follow-through, and timely completion of duties.
• Assist with departmental projects and perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned to support team goals.
  
  

Qualifications

Education Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, including invoice processing, payment application, and customer account reconciliation.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong overall computer literacy
• Experience working within an ERP system, including processing accounts receivable transactions and navigating customer account modules
