Job summary

Definitive Electronics is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Finance department in Jupiter, FL. This full-time, in-person role focuses on managing AR processes, milestone billing, and AIA pay applications for AV projects, with initial on-site work for 3 months.

You will post payments, reconcile accounts, resolve billing discrepancies, and support month-end close, while collaborating with internal teams and clients to maintain strong cash flow.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in accounts receivable or construction billing.
• Experience with AIA billing (preparing, submitting, follow-up).
• Familiarity with milestone billing and schedules of values.
• Proficient in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare milestone/progress billing and AIA pay applications for AV projects.
• Own the AR process - post payments, reconcile accounts, and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Prepare lien waivers, NTOs, and compliance documentation.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and client payment inquiries.
• Generate AR reports and support month-end/year-end close, plus general admin support.

Accounts Receivable Clerk

Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 / hour

Description

You Are:

• An experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk, ideally experienced in the Construction/Trades space. Good with people and comfortable collaborating with both internal teams and clients.

You Have:

• A detail-oriented approach to your work, a steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, and Hiqh EQ.

Your Location:

• In-Person for first 3 months, with potential for 1-2 days remote/week therafter
• 1097 Jupiter Park Ln Ste 3, Jupiter, FL 33458

Your Schedule:

• Full Time (40hrs/Wk)
• Mon-Fri from 8:00am to 5:00pm

Your Manager:

• Controller

Your Contribution to Definitive Electronics:

Your Ideal Knowledge/Experience:

• Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
