Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED with 2–5 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience with accounts receivable and general accounting processes is expected.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate posting, reconciliation, and allocation of payments to maintain general ledger integrity and support cash flow.
• Provide collections and AR cleanup support while coordinating with branches.
• Contact external customers to expedite payment and collections processes.
• Manage third party payment portals to ensure invoices are submitted accurately and timely.
• Provide documentation such as proofs of delivery to support invoice validity.
• Generate reports for internal and external customers.
• Process incoming payments on an exception basis.
• Work with credit card payments and EFT setups for external customers.
• Research misapplied or unapplied payments and correct as needed.
• Identify issues hindering collections and escalate to appropriate departments.
• Coordinate remittances with external customers.
• May mentor lower level employees.
