Job summary

Modigent is seeking an Accounts Payable Vendor Relations Specialist to own timely vendor inquiries, payment processing support, and issue resolution.

You will handle high-volume inquiries, communicate professionally, and maintain organized records in a remote corporate environment. This role supports business hours for Arizona and states where Modigent operates, with a focus on accurate payment processing and payment updates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in accounts payable and/or customer service.
• Sage experience is required; Stampli experience is a plus.
• Remote within states Modigent operates; support Arizona business hours.
• Primarily computer-based work; pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Review, action, and resolve vendor inquiries about payment status, discrepancies, invoice receipt, and statements.
• Communicate payment timing and next steps with vendors.
• Provide updates and follow through until inquiries are resolved.
• Create weekly payment files and route for approval and processing.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve vendor issues timely and accurately.
• Provide coverage for the AP Vendor Relations team as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and follow AP processes and controls.

Position Overview

As an Accounts Payable Vendor Relations Specialist at Modigent Corporate, you will own timely vendor inquiry response, payment processing support, and issue resolution. You will work with a high volume of vendors seeking payment updates and account clarity, and you will need to communicate professionally, stay organized, and handle competing priorities with composure. This is a remote corporate role open in states where Modigent currently operates.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review, action, and resolve incoming vendor inquiries regarding payment status, payment discrepancies, invoice receipt, statement reconciliation, and general AP questions.


• Communicate professionally with vendors regarding payment timing, invoice status, and next steps.


• Provide clear updates and follow through until vendor questions are resolved.


• Create weekly payment files and send them for approval and processing.


• Work with internal and external business partners to resolve vendor issues timely and accurately.


• Provide coverage for the Accounts Payable Vendor Relations team as needed.


• Maintain accurate records and follow established AP processes and controls.


• Escalate complex or recurring issues and support process improvements where needed.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of accounts payable and/or customer service experience. Experience handling high-volume vendor or customer inquiries is strongly preferred.


• Systems: Sage experience required. Stampli experience is a plus.


• Location: Remote within a state where Modigent currently operates. Must be able to support business hours for Arizona.


• Physical Demands: Primarily computer-based work with prolonged sitting and standard office equipment use.


• Work Environment/Safety: Remote professional environment. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screen.
