Job summary

AXS, headquartered in Downtown Los Angeles, seeks an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead training, supervise staff, and oversee complex invoice processing for high-profile events. You will manage AP workflows, ensure accuracy, and support vendor relationships in a fast-paced entertainment environment.

Qualifications

• AA/AS Degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role or related field.
• 1+ years as a subject matter expert.
• 1+ years supervising/mentoring team members preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership ability; previous management experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead trainings for new Accounts Receivable & Payable Coordinator or when new processes are implemented.
• Oversee staff scheduling, training, and address employee concerns; coach and mentor direct report(s).
• Handle processing and routing of intricate invoices and expense reports with high approval thresholds.
• Prepare and oversee weekly Accounts Payable aging for VP Accounting to review and process vendor payments via ACH, wire and checks.
• Generate reports for vendors; manage payment collection and reconcile discrepancies.
• Collect and review documents supporting 1099s and payments to new vendors to ensure accuracy of payments and bank information.
