Job summary

Occidental Chemical Corporation is seeking an Accounts Payable leader to supervise invoice intake, processing, and payment activities across multiple payables streams. The role requires strong supervisory experience and deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, VIM, Ariba, Concur, and FileNet.

You will oversee third-party AP vendors, enforce internal controls, and drive process improvements while coordinating onshore and offshore teams to ensure timely, accurate payments and audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a high-volume or hybrid delivery environment.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, VIM, Ariba, Concur, FileNet, and bank portals.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, separation of duties, and compliance requirements.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee invoice intake activities, including mailroom coordination, scanning, OCR exception resolution, and ingestion monitoring.
• Manage processing of invoices across plant, freight, corporate, and utility payables with proper matching and approval routing.
• Lead payment support activities: checks, escheatment, and unclaimed property tasks, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness.
• Supervise third-party execution of high-volume AP tasks, ensuring accuracy, timely payments, and vendor inquiries are resolved.
• Maintain documentation for audits and enforce internal controls and escalation protocols.
• Coordinate daily workflows between onshore and offshore teams to meet service levels.
