Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience with accounts payable responsibility.
• 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience.
• Experience in government contracting preferred (FAR/DFARS, DCAA).
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with subcontractor invoicing and government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Accounts Payable operations and ensure timely invoice processing.
• Supervise AP staff, provide training and performance reviews.
• Review invoice coding and payment transactions for compliance with policies and contract requirements.
• Monitor vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies; maintain vendor relationships.
• Ensure GAAP, FAR, DFARS, and DCAA compliance in AP operations.
• Assist month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support project accounting, general ledger, payroll, and billing as needed.
• Prepare AP-related reports and aging schedules for management review.
• Assist with audits by providing documentation and responses to auditor requests.
• Back up other accounting functions during peak workloads.
