Job summary

Black Hills Energy is seeking an Accounts Payable Processor in Rapid City, SD. You will handle invoicing, check requests, and resolve discrepancies while supporting routine vendor inquiries and internal staff communications.

No prior experience is required as training is provided; a strong eye for detail and confidentiality are essential to succeed in this role, which operates under established internal controls.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• No experience required; training provided.
• Strong keyboarding skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn accounting duties of average difficulty.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of business information.
• Ability to work under deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and process invoices, check requests and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide routine information to vendors and employees.
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations.
• Understand the automated accounting systems in PeopleSoft and SharePoint.
• Maintain documentation and comply with Sarbanes Oxley.
