Job summary

PowerGrid Services is seeking an Accounts Payable Support professional to manage the accounts payable workflow. You will open and sort mail, review invoices for PO numbers, and attach POs as needed.

The role requires interaction with vendors and internal billing teams to ensure timely payments and accurate record keeping. The ideal candidate has strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of MS Office.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Open and sort incoming mail for accounts payable.
• Review invoices for PO numbers and attach POs to invoices where applicable.
• Follow up with vendors on statements and issues as needed.
• Research invoices without PO numbers when required.
• Submit invoices to management for approval and enter invoices into the system.
• Communicate with billing department regarding billable invoices.
• Distribute signed checks as required.
• Assist in monthly closing and maintain confidentiality of information.
