Job summary

Versatile Mold and Design, Inc. in Rutledge, GA is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage invoices, reimbursements, and payments while upholding internal controls.

You will collaborate with Purchasing, Receiving, Operations, and other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing. The role requires at least 2 years in AP or accounting, manufacturing experience preferred, and proficiency with QuickBooks and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
• Experience processing high-volume invoices.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and verify incoming invoices and vendor statements.
• Three-Way Matching: Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices to ensure accuracy before issuing payment.
• Payment Execution: Prepare and process checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments on a biweekly and ad hoc basis.
• Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries; resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
• Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring policy compliance.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate accounts payable files and ledgers.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements against company records to identify discrepancies.
• Month-End Close: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and reporting.
• Compliance: Assist with preparation and distribution of 1099 forms.
