Job summary

Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the accounting team with invoices, payments and expense allocations in a hybrid, part-time role in St. Paul, MN.

The position is 20 hours per week, reporting to the Accounting Manager, and requires Excel/Word proficiency and Bill.com experience. This role supports a nonprofit focused on serving homelessness and community needs with accurate ledgers and vendor relations.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of Accounts Payable experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong emphasis on Excel and Word.
• Experience or desire to work with underserved communities and people experiencing homelessness or poverty.

Responsibilities

• Carry out established accounting processes and procedures in alignment with mission, values and policies.
• Process day-to-day financial transactions, including receiving, classifying, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices within Bill.com.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and ensure timely payments.
• Assist in month-end closing and annual financial audit.
