Job summary

Shane Co. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to handle invoice entry, SAP coding, and timely payment processing on-site. You will manage vendors, approvals, and various payment types while supporting audits and seasonal tasks.

The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication. It offers a stable on-site environment with potential periodic remote work, depending on business needs, and travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of accounts payable experience required.
• Data entry/10 key experience required.
• Invoice management and verification experience preferred.
• A/P software experience preferred.
• Payment processing and posting experience preferred.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Code and enter invoices into SAP system ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Distribute invoices for approval and retrieve invoices for payment upon approval.
• Perform check runs, wires and ACH payments obtaining signatures for checks.
• Organize new vendors and maintain/update changes to existing vendors.
• Monitor vendor statements and past due invoices for payment.
• Review and process all expense reports in Certify.
• Assist management in researching invoices and assist auditors with year-end tasks.
• Assist in processing inventory invoices as needed.
• Reconcile accounts payable GL accounts as needed.
• Prepare all 1099 and 1096 forms yearly.
• Reconcile petty cash and prepare miscellaneous bank deposits.
• Manage timely payments of licenses, real estate taxes and personal taxes.
• Assist with other projects as needed.
• Maintain files and documentation in accordance with policy and accounting practices.
• Provide AP reporting as requested.
