Job summary

Boater’s World Marine Centers in Bradenton, Florida is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. You will process vendor invoices and payments, maintain vendor accounts, reconcile statements, and support month-end close in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of AP experience, an associate degree, strong Excel skills, and the ability to coordinate with internal departments and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, code, and process vendor invoices.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders, approvals, receipts, and docs.
• Prepare and process vendor payments per schedules and terms.
• Maintain accurate vendor accounts and AP records.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Research and resolve invoice, payment, pricing, and account discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Coordinate with internal departments for approvals and documentation.
• Maintain electronic and physical records of AP transactions.
• Assist with new vendor setup and maintenance.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and payment deadlines.
• Assist with AP reporting and month-end closings.
