Morton Community Bank is seeking an Accounts Payable & Mail Clerk to support the day-to-day processing and payment of approved expenditures and assist with the mailroom operations at our Morton, IL location.

Qualifications

• Assist with processing and paying approved expenditures for the bank.
• Review invoices for documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Verify invoice entries in the Accounts Payable software for errors.
• Update spreadsheets and ledgers in Excel as needed.
• Maintain and update vendor records and W-9s.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts payable tasks on a daily basis.
• Process and pay approved expenditures promptly.
• Match checks with remittances weekly.
• Verify new/updated vendor information in accounting systems.
• Coordinate with vendors for billing inquiries.
