Job summary

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator in our Atlanta office. The role reports to the Controller and collaborates with the Accounts Payable team to ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• 1–3 years’ customer service, insurance or legal industry preferred but not required.
• Experience in a high-volume environment with accuracy.
• Impeccable accuracy and high attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, staff and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounts payable department.
• Reconcile customer payments, research, and correct discrepancies.
• Send vendor invoices for direct payment in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Accounts payable statement reconciliations.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor issues.
• Handle vendor inquiries with timely responses.
• Work with vendors to resolve past-due invoices, credits, etc.
• File, maintain and distribute accounting records and reports.
• Assist with vendor setup including W-9 requests.
• Contribute to year-end 1099 preparation.
• Enter invoices accurately into the accounting system.
• Assist with the credit card payment processes.
• Multi-task and prioritize in a high-volume environment.
