U.S. Multimodal Group is seeking a hands-on Accounts Payable Coordinator to support our financial operations. You will manage incoming invoices, enter data into the accounting system, and ensure timely payments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documentation and reports
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Capable of analyzing problems and creating solutions with minimal guidance

Responsibilities

• Processes vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Process payments in a timely and accurate manner
• Reconciles and maintains various accounts and ledgers (AP, journal vouchers, vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, ledgers, statements, billings)
• Assists with local tax compliances and state registrations
• Assists the accounting department in daily activities
• Assists with preparation for annual audits and local compliance
• Communicates with customers and vendors
• Manages payment and balance sheet schedules
• Maintains accurate financial records and communicates invoice discrepancies
• Generates financial reports for the Controller, as needed
