Job summary

Emlin Group seeks an experienced accounts payable professional to join our in-office team in New Jersey. You will process invoices, ensure accurate coding, and manage payments in a timely manner.

The role requires strong detail orientation, excellent communication, and proficiency with accounting software and MS Office. You will interact with vendors and internal staff to maintain precise records and support day-to-day accounting operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• A customer service mindset and a professional, personable approach.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and prepare payments in accordance with established procedures.
• Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and appropriate approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and expenses.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records, files, and supporting documentation.
• Track purchase orders and verify expense account coding.
• Perform data entry and maintain information in the accounting system.
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as needed.
