Brookshire Grocery Co. is seeking an accounting professional to perform routine and some non-routine accounting functions under minimal supervision in accounts payable.

The role focuses on processing invoices, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring timely payments while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. You will work with SAP reporting and Microsoft Office tools, review statements and reports, and help prepare financial records in a fast-paced office environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
• Prepares account statements, reports, and other records and reviews for accuracy.
• Monitors accounts payable to ensure that payments are up to date.
• Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.
• Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
• Verifies correct sales taxes on invoices and makes needed adjustments in the system.
• Compares data from various sources, makes adjustments, and documents actions.
