Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking an attentive Office/Cloor cashier role at our retail location. You will help process customer transactions, handle cash deposits, and assist with office duties while delivering friendly service.

The position requires accuracy, basic math, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting. Candidates must be 16+ and able to work nights and weekends, with adherence to safety and AML policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• AML, HIPAA, and applicable regulatory certifications may be required.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of state laws regarding sales of restricted items is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process Western Union, money orders, lottery tickets, coin redemptions, refunds, and equipment rentals.
• Prepare cash/check deposits and maintain accurate store financial records and bank deposit logs.
• Check cash register drawers for overages/shortages and report discrepancies.
• Assist with store office tasks, cashier help, and answering incoming calls.
• Remain current on tender policies and AML compliance; follow procedures for checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC.
• Provide friendly, customer-service oriented interactions and address complaints.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work and shopping environment in line with safety procedures.
