Job summary

Our client in the Greensboro area is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants the chance to transition into a permanent role.

The role involves processing high-volume accounts payable transactions, verifying invoices, matching to receipts, and assisting with month-end close.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent Accounts Payable experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices.
• Experience processing invoices in a high-volume environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• ERP/accounting software experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
• Match invoices to receipts and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor records and respond to payment inquiries.
• Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations.
• Support internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and accounting teams.
