Job summary

Acuren Inspection, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support the shared services team in Baton Rouge. The role reports to the Regional Controller and handles high-volume AP processing for the region, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

You will enter and code invoices, reconcile batches, post to the GL, calculate sales tax, and manage weekly check runs while providing excellent vendor service and maintaining strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
• 2+ years Accounts Payable experience
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Identifies issues and provides solutions
• Team player and independent worker

Responsibilities

• Enter, code, and process invoices per guidelines
• Reconcile AP batches for coding and approval
• Calculate and report sales tax on paid invoices
• Post transactions to general ledger
• Process weekly check runs and verify receipt
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare monthly AP reports and verify PO coding and approvals
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling statements
