Job summary

Acuren is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support our shared services team in Baton Rouge, LA. The role reports to the Regional Controller and handles high-volume AP transactions for the region, including invoicing, coding, reconciliation, and posting to the ledger.

Responsibilities include vendor inquiries, monthly reporting, and maintaining accurate AP records. A bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting with 2+ years AP experience and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years Accounts Payable experience; industry experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and meet strict deadlines
• Identify issues and proactively provide solutions
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail
• Team player with ability to work well independently

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter, code, and process invoices meeting guidelines for payment or route for approval
• Reconcile Accounts Payable batches for coding and approval
• Calculates and reports sales tax on paid invoices
• Post transactions to general ledger
• Process weekly payment (check run) and confirm payment received
• Provide excellent customer service while responding to vendor inquiries; resolve invoice discrepancies professionally
• Prepare monthly reporting ensuring all AP records are accurate; audit documentation for PO coding and approvals
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Support financial team with additional duties as required
