Mechanical Services & Design in Dayton, OH is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support our finance team by processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely, accurate payments.

You will handle credit applications, expense reports, lease payments, tax submissions, and garnishments, while troubleshooting system issues and proposing process improvements. The role emphasizes accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and organized candidate.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Understanding of GAAP.
• Able to multitask efficiently.
• 1-3 years' experience in AP and/or AR preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Vendor & Invoice Management: maintain vendor relationships, resolve invoice discrepancies, code invoices, ensure accurate data entry and approvals.
• Payment Processing: manage AP aging, schedule and process payments, create check runs, handle credit card expenses and lease payments.
• Tax & Payroll Deductions: submit sales tax filings and process garnishments and other deductions.
• System & Process Improvement: troubleshoot GE system issues and identify improvement opportunities.
