Gallagher is seeking an entry-level Bookkeeper/General Ledger support in Fairfax, VA. You will process and pay vendor bills, prepare general journal entries, and assist with month-end close under supervision.

Qualifications

• Introductory Bookkeeping experience/exposure required.
• Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Process and pay vendor bills.
• Prepares general journal entries.
• Compiles and analyzes financial information to complete reconciliations.
• Works to complete the month and year end General Ledger close procedures in a timely manner.
• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
• Assists with the fulfillment of internal and client audit requests.
• Assists with the preparation and maintenance of internal control matrices and flow charts.
