K44 Consulting LLC is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Edison, NJ to join a building materials manufacturer and distributor. This role offers a hands-on AP environment with invoicing, vendor communications, and month-end close support.

Candidates should have 5+ years AP experience, an Associate degree, ERP experience, and strong attention to detail. Remote/hybrid is not available; salary range $55k-$65k depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years accounts payable experience.
• ERP experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process, code, and review vendor invoices for accuracy and timely payment.
• Perform 2-way and 3-way matching of invoices to purchase orders.
• Resolve EDI invoice errors and discrepancies between invoices, goods receipts, and shipping charges.
• Reconcile vendor statements and ensure all invoices and credits are properly recorded.
• Handle transactions related to direct and drop shipments, including proforma invoicing and cost adjustments.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice and payment issues.
• Set up new vendors and maintain accurate vendor information.
• Prepare and process vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and timely approval.
• Monitor expenses and review invoices and expense reports.
• Manage AP email accounts and respond promptly and professionally to inquiries.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including AP accruals and reconciliations.
• Support additional accounting projects as needed.
