Job summary

Beacon Hill in Las Vegas is seeking a motivated Accounts Payable Specialist / Accountant to join a dynamic organization on a temporary contract basis. This role focuses on high-volume AP processing, vendor coordination, and supporting day-to-day accounting activities in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of AP and/or accounting experience, solid Excel skills, and a proactive approach to accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Accounts Payable and/or Accounting experience required.
• Experience with ERP and accounting software preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
• Review invoices for proper approval, coding, and supporting documentation
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
• Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close activities
• Enter and maintain financial data within the accounting system
• Support general ledger accounting functions as assigned
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed
